My Passion: The season you're in.

My passion is to document more than just a few family photos, but organically document the season you're in. Whether a family or farm, theres food & faces to capture there. For faces, there's a family that loves that face. For food, there's faces, and family that gather around. For farms, theres faces that delight in the hard work, and families that enjoy the harvest. My goal of families, faces, food, & farms is a point of view that you may not see currently, but can be a keepsake years from now. Your everyday turned to print, post, save, & treasure.

Below are some thoughts that come to mind when I imagine a session with the focus of:

Families: More than just smiling family photos to hang on the wall. Keepsake images! Your children in their bedrooms, your all time favorite family breakfast: life just as it is in this season. The mismatched jammies! The dress up! My favorite images from my childhood are the ones I can see how my mom styled my room, me & all my dolls next to me, the accessories I was so proud to wear, or my parents faces watching me open up birthday presents. This encourages & inspires me to capture these moments for you!

Faces: The people that make up your family. The toddler cheeses, the cheeks, the missing teeth, the every changing baby face. Your face pressed up against your littles cheeks.

Food: I see food as something that nourishes the body & brings community. We eat everyday, over & over: what a gift from The Lord to sit & be with the people he's given to us! Some families grow food but all families eat food! Food brings people together, and this is why it's become a part of what I love to document.

Farms: The landscape that faces & families spend time in caring for their garden, or animals. The homestead. The gathering of tools, the gathering of food, the gathering of scattered of children. The boots, the mess, the eggs, the cat, the chicken. Farm to table experience. The food that provides and nourishes community. Details & landscapes where I see beauty in your everyday.
